Resources for Research

Conducting research (in the context of research studies or service improvement) can be quite daunting- we get it.

There are many wonderful resources out there that will help you, at every stage of research, and they are pitched at different levels too. Rather than duplicating the work that others have done, we thought it might be better for us to compile the resources that we are aware of, and you can find a list below.

CAHPR is a free-to-join network of Allied Health Professionals in research. They have a wonderful resource page about conducting research that you can refer to.

You can also join their mailing list to find out more about activities and webinars happening in your area.

The CSP has a wonderful research resource page that you can use as well, which goes through doing research, research funding and networks, as well as exploring research careers and training.

The Physiotherapy Research Society is a professional network of the CSP, similar to ACPOPC. They have an annual conference which you can attend to find out more about research, and it is also an opportunity to submit any projects you have done.

The NIHR is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research. They offer various prestigious studentships, fellowships, and research grant opportunities that you can apply for.

Besides this, they also have other resources to support you with research on their website, including the Good Clinical Practice training, which is vital if you perform research.
