  • IPT-HOPE Educational Webinar- Development of a contextualised physical therapy activity program for people living with HIV-related disability in Nigeria

    Online

Recognising the importance of culturally and contextually relevant interventions in addressing HIV-related disability is a significant public health concern. This session will explore how physical activity programmes can be designed to meet the specific needs of people living with HIV within the Nigerian healthcare and community context, incorporating evidence from the literature, stakeholder engagement, and contextual factors affecting participation in physical activity. The outcome of this research is the development of a context-specific physical activity programme aimed at improving functional capacity, promoting healthy ageing, and enhancing quality of life — contributing to the growing body of knowledge supporting the integration of exercise and rehabilitation into HIV care, particularly in resource-limited settings.
