We are delighted to announce our very first CPD workshop on stoma rehab - return to exercise - fundamentals workshop. In this fundamentals workshop you'll learn the following: • What are stomas, different types, surgeries and why they're formed • The impact of stoma surgery on the muscles and structure of the body • How to modify and adapt exercises including core and pelvic floor • Learn how to assess intra-abdominal pressure and breathing mechanics • Return to exercise guidelines, timelines and the EXPASS matrix • Plenty of time for Q&A

This course is tailored to frontline professionals working in healthcare, care settings, funeral services, social care and more, who may be supporting bereaved families and loved ones, as well as providing support and care for the patient. This workshop is a practical and interactive session which includes peer to peer learning and provides space to reflect, share experiences and build confidence in supporting both yourself and others. Aims of the training: • To understand what professional grief is and how it may impact individuals and the workplace • To offer guidance on supporting yourself and your team • To highlight the support that is available Learning outcomes: • Explain the difference between professional grief and other forms of grief • Recognise the impact of professional grief on employees and the workplace • Identify ways to support individuals and teams exposed to frequent loss • Find and signpost appropriate further support
